Texas Weekend

Our weekend consisted of

-a fun trip to the mall with the wives
-a visit to the Houston aquarium
-lots of driving
-dinner at Carrabas
-singing to every song on the radio with the new musicID app SO FUNNY
-the movie Thor

we had a wonderful weekend! We will hopefully be moving to Louisiana for real this time next weekend, But for now Texas is our hotel home. Im so thankful to have a lot of the wives here to play with its been fun!

A lil bit a Texas

Currently we are living in the good ole city of Beaumont, Texas and let me tell you it has been quite the adventure. We have been finding some interesting things to do out here from finding random railroad tracks and taking photo shoots, and finding a random beach and drawing a million things in the sand, to sneaking into the nice hotel pool down the street and karaoke night at applebees. We are having a fun New adventure and although it has been a little hard packing up and moving hotel to hotel till we get the license's for Louisiana I have to say its an experience I would never take back. The thick accents here and the oh so sweet southern hospitality make it hard to not fall in love with Texas.

We recently went to Galveston beach with Adam and Jenny who are what I like to call our "BFF couple." ha ha but seriously we do everything together, I Just have to say thank you to them for being the greatest friends we could ask for, for literally always being there for us and making life out here better than we could have ever imagined. love you guys

Final touches

Josh and I have been workin hard on puttin all the final touches into our place before we leave next weekend for the Summer. Becky and I finally got around to making the fabric whiteboard from the Make it and Love it Blog, but instead of fabric we used scrapbook paper its so much cheaper and easier. We are so happy with the way they turned out! My sweet sweet mother made this adorable table runner for our table and its perfection, exactly what our table needed thanks MOM! Josh and I put together a whole guest bedroom and I couldnt be more proud of us. A lot of time and effort put into sanding and painting and searching for the cutest fabric designs etc. I was stoked to find the bedspread at Macy's on sale for 19 bucks, couldnt be happier about that purchase. We are loving our home all put together it feels so comfy and so "us". I am pretty bummed we have to leave everything here especially our friends and family but our next adventure in New Orleans is going to be a good one, I can feel it :) Bring on the Summa heat!!

Moab adventure

from camping in the beautiful red rock valley and hiking to the delicate arches on the Utah license plate to biking on the famous slick rock trail and swimming in a water fall... Moab is by far the most incredible place to visit in Utah. We had one amazing adventure this weekend. Thanks Child fam for making it so fun. We will miss you guys this summer!!

Weeee are the Champions...

Josh's Hockey season has come to an end and I am so bummed. It has been one entertaining season. Josh's team the "NorthStars" played about 25 games total and the only ones they lost were the three or four games I wasn't able to attend, I think I had some crazy luck for once in my life cuz every time I was there they won! Every game got more and more intense and I found myself getting more and more embarassing each game. Poor Josh was probably so embarrassed. I almost lost my voice after each game, yelling and screaming my heart out with the "crew" (Jenny, and adams family) that came to watch every game with me. When the playoffs came around it was a double elimination and we lost the first game, which meant they couldn't loose a single game from then on out if they wanted to win first place. I dunno if we had more fun or the boys, we looked forward to every game watching our team climb to the top of the playoffs and then winning the Trophy. It was a shut out 3-0. I became so hooked on hockey I even went to the game Josh couldnt go to. I am pretty bummed its over but the boys played one awesome season and we are so proud of them! Go Northstar!

Viva Las Vegasss

In less than one hour Laura and I decided this weekend wasn't going to go to waste... instead we were gonna live it up and take a random totally last minute road trip to Vegas! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and ate till my heart was content at every famous restuarant I knew. (which I am totally gonna pay for now) Josh was already planning on going with his friends for his birthday and the BYU game and we wanted to celebrate together somehow, so I surprised him. We got to watch the Bellagio water show together and had fun walkin down the strip and chattin with friends at Serendipity. It was a very relaxing weekend and I finally soaked in some much needed Sun and got a sweet tan...Thank you Vegas for treating us so well and being 80 degrees all weekend :)
