Californian Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving in beautiful 80 degree weather was just what we needed this year. With snowy utah behind us we took off for our week long adventure in Sunny Socal with my family. We had a fabulous Thanksgiving at my Gma and Gpa Billings house in the mountains. I ate for four people... and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. We rode horses, played sand volleyball, shooting, rode the tractors, and enjoyed some family time. The Billings are seriously the best people. They are so sweet and absolutely hilarious! Playing games till midnight is a tradition when we get together so of course we played murder and wacky six for hours. SO fun!

Thanksgiving flew by from having so much fun and it was time to hit the beach! We went to the wedge and 58th in Newport. The weather couldnt have been more perfect. Finally got me some sun :)

I had a lovely reunion with my two best friends. Words cant even express how much I missed them! So excited for Court to have little peanut.

Colby my little bro got his Eagle a couple nights before we left. The court of honor was beautiful and so sweet to be a part of. I love you Colbs seriously so proud of you!!

I am so Thankful for such an awesome family that is always there for me and that made our Thanksgiving one to remember. I miss my nephews and niece more than anything right now!! So many wrestling matches, tickle fights and hugs. Seriously having nephew withdrawals. Cant wait to see them again. Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Girls just wanna have fun

Can I just say... I love my girls. What would a girl be without her best girl friends?

Last week I went to Footloose twice. That's right, twice... it was THAT good. Once with the hubs, and once with my girls, dancing and singing at the top of our lungs. I can't even wait to see it again with my sisters next week! Fav movie of the year.





Kim and I had a little date night last night. So fun I just love her. We tried on so many adorable things and just HAD to buy that sweater together. It was too comfy not to. Nothin' better than a night out shopping at H&M and a little Jason's Deli with my soul mate sista!

This years Child Halloween Party was a blast. We ate the cutest treats, played the spookiest games, enjoyed the most creative costumes, and devoured the delish dinner.

Half Marathon... Check!

I finally am able to say that I accomplished a major goal of running a half marathon without stopping to walk. The Halloween half marathon from the Sundance resort to the River bottoms.

It was the most incredible feeling in the world crossing that finish line knowing through blood and sweat (literally coming out of my shoe) that I did it, and with family by my side. Knowing that I finally proved myself wrong, and that if I set my mind to it I can accomplish anything. We worked so hard for this race, training, eating right, and making the perfect costumes. Getting up on Saturdays at 6 to go run the freezing Provo canyon trying to reach yet another mile longer. Together Kim and I laughed, sang, and raced to the finish. I will never forget the memories of this race. I was having so much fun that I didn't even realize my bloody shoe till after the race was over.

I am so thankful for such sweet and encouraging in laws. If it wasn't for them I would probably still be on mile 2. Instead I am "checking another goal of my bucketlist" as Kim would say, and it feels OH so good.


























I cannot wait to run again next Halloween, and this time hopefully as a tradition with all the Childs!

Back in the saddle

I am one happy girl to be back in a saddle and riding again. This time with my new Co-worker and buddy Marie. She is so sweet to bring me along riding with her and we are so excited to go all the time together. We rode for three hours straight, barrel racing, loping, and trying to get me used to things again. Much needed girl time. My favorite memories of horseback riding are when my Gpa and I would go on trail rides for hours on end just talking and talking. This was exactly how it was with Marie, we could have rode forever but the cold was killing our cracked hands so we had to call it a day. So many fun trail rides planned I cant wait for the next one!

Happy Birthday to my sweet Jenny girl!

I love this girl so much, So many fun memories together over the years has brought us really close and I am so thankful to have such a sassy fun best friend that makes me laugh constantly. Jenny is without a doubt the funniest person I know, and also one of the sweetest. Hope you truly did have an awesome bday this year J because you deserve it!

Cooler weather

The weather is slowly getting cooler. Everyone is complaining about it here. I am loving it. I love the fall leaves, the smell of fresh cool air, the fun hikes up the canyon to see the leaves, candy corn, boots and scarves, and of course my very fav... APPLE CIDER.

We enjoyed a nice hike up the canyon this Sunday to see the leaves. The smell up there was unbelievable. I was in FALL heaven.


Now I realllly cant wait for our SPOOKY camping trip we have planned with friends this weekend!!
