A wonderful end to 2010

Christmas was nice and relaxing this year in rainy California with my fam. We played lots and lots of games, drank tons of hot chocolate, watched christmas movies, went to the movies saw the cutest movie The Secretariat, played in the rain, went on many bike rides to the park, ate TONS of yummy food, and got completely spoiled by santa, a.k.a my parents :)
We were so excited to finally see my brother, his new baby girl is adorable and just perfect. They blessed her at my parents house and I got to help Sienna pick out the gorgeous dress and of course a hair band for her sweet little cosette.
We were really spoiled this Christmas with a new home, we love Love everything about it and the location and ward.. its perfection. I will post pics soon. I'm needing a craft day to complete my decor so if any of you have any cute ideas let me know!

We spent New Years Eve this year with our buddies Jenny and Adam. We went on quite the adventure eating lots of good buffet food, dancing, taking random shuttles, and counting down the new year in style. Thanks guys for making this New years eve fun and reallly interesting!

ha ha I love this girl.. funn night.

Its that time of year again

It's finally here and I couldn't be happier! I love winter and everything that comes with it... who doesn't love hot chocolate, warm coats, cute boots, snuggling, snow angels, snow boarding, winter decor, family, tons of sweets, and of course the holidays?! I am counting down the days till we hop in the car and visit my fam bam down in California for Christmas. I haven't seen my brother in over a year and I will be a proud auntie of two beautiful new nieces that I am just DYING to hold!
Here's a quick update on what we have been up to....

We went to Park city with Our buds Kayla and Sam, enjoyed a delish dinner at
the main street pizza and Noodle and gave into lots of fabulous chocolate at the
famous chocolate factory. We saw "Life as we know it" after and of course
I bawled. Cutest movie EVER. seriously, go see it.

We decided to last minute drive up to Midway last night
with Adam and Jenny and sneak into this hot pot/ rock pool.
Swimming in an outside hot tub in the snowy blizzard felt amazing
to say the least. We almost got snowed in and had to drive the canyon
in the thick storm.

I chopped my hair off this week! I'd say a good 9 inches
and boy did it feel good. Im lovin this new due.

Brookie cookie got Baptized last weekend and I got to do her
cute lil up do. Its fun having so many niece's now to play hair with.

Today we had our first real snow storm of the season. Cali of course
loved it and wanted to be outside in it all day. we are SOOO
excited to go snowboarding. Im so thankful we get to have all four seasons
here I never got that growing up. Let it snow!

We hope everyone has a fabulous Thanksgiving! we will miss
everyone this year a lot. We are hoping to move into our new home
in Pleasant Grove in less than ten days!! I will be graduating in
three weeks and Josh is almost done with his fall semester.
Life is Goooood.

Boo!

This was one FUNNN halloweeeeeen! Josh had to take off on a selling trip during
the week so I had to keep myself busy so I wouldnt miss him too much.

On Monday We Carved pumpkins with our buddies Charlie and Taina....

Josh's sunglasses pumpkin ha ha gotta love it!

On Friday I had a big competition at my school....

my group did the mad hatter from Alice in Wonderland. We won 2nd place
overall and 1st place hair! grungggy nails... those were way fun to do.

On saturday Taina and I made a haunted alley at thier house...

it was a success everyone was talkin it up at church the next day and we are
thinkin this will be a fun tradition to start! The glow stickman costume was
a hit. I wasnt too thrilled to wear a bloody costume in the alley but it was
fun to scare everyone.

On sunday Josh surpised me at 3 am and drove through the night... It
was like christmas morning!!! I missed him more than ever, and I felt like
the loneliest old woman all week going to bed early, and making my dinner
for one.. but he had an awesome week and sold his heart out. I am so
thankful for one hard workin husband. I love you Josh!

We had a great time at the family party, Josh dressed up as a
butthead ha ha and I was a crazy hairstylist :)

A new craving

Remember how when your were engaged and all you wanted to do was GET MARRIED and fly through those last few months so you could finally be with your sweetheart? I do... but what I regret is not taking the time to really pick out the colors I wanted to put in my home! Instead of beeping just about anything we thought looked good at the time because we were just soO ready to be done with planning, I wish I would have taken the time to look at every accent color, every possible combination of colors in general, and what the styles actually were. Don't get me wrong I am totally grateful for all the gifts we received and all the brown towels we will have for eternity, but I just wish I would have chosen a different color. Josh and I are working on getting a new home right now which is making me soo excited to finally decorate and not have to pack it all up at the end of the winter. SO on my search for ideas I stumbled upon some reallllly cute pictures that I am now craving to make come alive in my home... just not so sure how to get there with the colors we have...

I am totally obsessed with the striped paint

Conference weekend

This weekend was just what we needed...

On Friday we went to the temple and dinner at Wingers with Carly and John, they are such a rad couple.. Thanks for a fun night guys!

This is what we saw when we walked out of the temple... gorgeous!

On Saturday we went camping and four wheeling with our good friends Charlie and Taina...
we had the worst of luck with the four wheelers to say the least... we got stuck in two feet of mud and then got their truck stuck trying to get the four wheeler out! BUT It ended up being pretty hilarious, and really fun. Camping was a blast, I love love making s'mores and hot dogs over a fire and snuggling up in blankets watching the stars.

I love this girl she makes me laugh... a lot!

nothin more comforting than a fire when your camping

of course the boys brought fireworks they are total pyro's!

On Sunday we watched conference, I really enjoyed every talk
especially elder mazzagardi's talk about avoiding the traps of sin, what a powerful talk! I think he is my new favorite. My favorite thing he said was "Decisions about standards to follow must be made in advance — not when temptation appears."

On Monday Josh had a Hockey game. He's playing in a Men's league with his buddy Adam. They played great! A little rusty but they are having a lot of fun and im really glad he gets to do this in the off season. His team won 9-1. I had a blast cheering them on with Jenny. Our men looked pretty darn sexy in those hockey giddups!

We had one awesome weekend!
